Ab Initio Developer
•Work Location: Remote (Hybrid model from the Warsaw office, initially remote, with future office hours of 2-3 days a week)
•Contract Type: B2B Via Hays
•Rate: 150-170 PLN net + VAT/h

Our client from the banking industry is seeking an experienced Ab Initio specialist to support the development and maintenance of extensive data lake and data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will have solid experience working with large data sets, integrating data from various systems, and creating reliable and scalable ETL processes.
Responsibilities:
Design and development of ETL processes using Ab Initio GDE.
Creation and optimization of Ab Initio graphs.
Participation in the implementation of Data Lake solutions – analyzing data flows and integrating them.
Working with tools such as Conduct>IT, Control Center, and shell scripts.
Collaboration in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Maintaining high-quality code – error-tolerant, readable, and scalable.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of practical experience with Ab Initio.
Total IT experience: 7 to 14 years.
Familiarity with Big Data technologies – including Hadoop, Hive, file formats (Avro, ORC), and partitioning.
Ability to analyze, map, validate, and load data.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (preferred).
Familiarity with tools such as Express>IT, Query>IT, and Metadata Hub would be an asset. Very good command of English – both written and spoken.
Experience in the banking or financial sector is a plus.
Job Level:
The preferred level is SA (Senior Associate), but we will also consider candidates at A (Associate) or M (Manager) levels if they possess strong technical skills in Ab Initio.
