Database Engineer
Location: remote (occasional visits to the Warsaw office)
Job type: B2B (with Hays Poland)
Length: long-term cooperation, first contract for 6–12 months
Start date: ASAP/1 month
Rate: 140-180 pln/h (net+vat)

General information:
Project connected to marine logistics software
Tasks:
- Design and create AlloyDB clusters and instances with appropriate machine types, storage configs, and HA settings
- Set up PostgreSQL schemas, roles, extensions and connection pooling
- Manage Liquibase changelogs, promote schema changes across the environment
What we expect from you:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in English at B2+ level
- Technical knowledge and experience:
- GCP Services: AlloyDB (PostgreSQL), BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Datastream
- Database Technologies: PostgreSQL
- Languages & Tools: SQL, Bash scripting, Python (basic), Docker, Liquibase
- Core DBA Skills: Database Design & Modeling, Performance Tuning, Backup & Recovery, Disaster Recovery, Security & IAM, ETL Processes, High Availability (HA)
- Nice to have:
- Higher Education in fields of computer science, mathematics or similar
