Your tasks
- Cluster installation and configuration: Comprehensive implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of Db2 pureScale clusters on the IBM AIX platform.
- Node and CF administration: Active management of caching facilities (CF) and member nodes to ensure high availability and performance of the environment.
- Database maintenance and operations: Creation, parameterisation and ongoing maintenance of databases in the specific pureScale architecture.
- GPFS file system management: Installation, configuration and tuning of GPFS (IBM Storage Scale) file systems supporting databases, including shared storage and disk management.
- Performance monitoring and optimisation: Continuous monitoring of database and GPFS parameters, optimisation of SQL queries, and configuration of memory and disk resource allocation.
- Backup & Recovery strategy implementation: Implementation and supervision of backup procedures (online/offline) and rapid system recovery after failures.AIX administration and tuning: Management of AIX servers hosting pureScale infrastructure, including operating system tuning for maximum database workload performance.
What we expect
- Install, configure, and manage Db2 PureScale clusters on IBM AIX.
- Perform database creation, configuration, and maintenance in PureScale environments.
- Manage Cluster Caching Facility (CF) and member nodes.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, memory, and storage configurations.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies including online/offline backups.
- Install, configure, and maintain GPFS file systems supporting Db2 PureScale.
- Manage shared storage, disk configurations, and file system tuning.
- Monitor GPFS performance and resolve file system issues.
- Manage AIX servers hosting Db2 PureScale members and CF nodes.
- Perform OS tuning for database workloads.
