QA Test Engineer
Location: remote, occasional visits in Warsaw (Poland)
Job type: B2B (with Hays Poland)
Length: long-term cooperation, first contract until the end of 2026 with possible extension

General information:
Project requires a QA Test Engineer with expertise in both manual and automated testing, specifically utilizing Tricentis TOSCA for product delivery web and desktop applications. This role requires a hands-on individual to develop effective test scenarios and contribute to a robust QA framework
Tasks:
- Collaborate with BSAs, developers, and business teams for requirement review and clarification of business use cases and workflows
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases, including test case design, manual test execution, and defect logging
- Perform manual testing for exploratory scenarios and functionalities not yet automated
- Translate complex business requirements into effective test scenarios suitable for automation
- Develop, maintain, and update highly reusable TOSCA automated test scripts for web and desktop applications, ensuring efficient Distributed Execution (DEX)
- Conduct API testing using Postman, validating payloads and end-to-end workflows
- Perform database validations using SQL queries
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test execution, the TOSCA environment, and system integrations
- Assist in triaging and prioritizing issues, collaborating with development for timely resolution
- Generate test reports, providing insights into testing progress and quality metrics
- Contribute to continuous improvement in test automation processes
What we expect from you:
- 6-8 years of overall experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Tricentis TOSCA Test Automation for web and desktop applications
- Proven experience in both manual and automated testing
- ISTQB Certification
- Proficiency in English at B2+ level
- Technical knowledge and experience:
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining complex TOSCA automated test scripts (reusability, DEX execution focus)
- Strong understanding of product delivery business processes within web and desktop applications
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman
- Experience with database validations (SQL querying)
- Familiarity with Tricentis DEX
- Working knowledge of qTest for test management and Azure DevOps (ADO) for defect tracking/work item management
- Nice to have:
- Neo load knowledge with some performance testing background
- Working knowledge of Playwright for web automation
- Relevant certifications such Tricentis Certified Automation Specialist (TAS) or Tricentis Certified Test Design Specialist (TDS)
- Higher Education in fields of computer science, mathematics or similar
