Description:
Enterprise Data Management (EDM) is a centralized environment for managing PCB project data such as designs, libraries, simulation results and finally documents. Inside this product line, there is a set of client applications that are interconnected to a central server. In this way, EDM enables and accelerates collaboration between domains and enhances individual or collaborative design through increased security, consistency, metrics collection and process control. About 60 engineers divided into 8 scrum teams in Poland and 2 in the US are working on this product. The teams work closely together in their daily work on various projects. You will have a chance to become a member of a multidisciplinary team and develop project methodologies aimed at using, extending the use of EDM products.
Candidates' profile:
- Senior/Experienced Java developer (SE/JavaEE)
- Backend developer (80-90% of work), with reasonable frontend understanding, React, TypeScript (10-20% of work)
- Some experience in maintaining existing systems – familiarity with reading, analyzing, refactoring and extending existing code base
- Understanding of challenges and solutions in multithreaded /multiuser server system to avoid/resolve problems with concurrent data access/modification
- Experience with SQL queries (analyzing, writing, optimizing)
- Refactoring/redesigning to service-oriented architecture
- Experience with Test Automation
- Smooth English
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with scrum team and organization
- Participation in requirements adjustments
- Implementation according to the requirements
- Participation in code review
- Quality assurance (participation in feature validation, regression test creation, i.e. unit tests, integration tests)
- New feature description (internal documentation)
- The learning curve is long, but at the same time we favor and offer a long-term cooperation
Additional knowledge welcome:
- REST/Web services & client
- OSGi/eclipse desktop application (OSGi/eclipse experience welcome, but not required)
- Designing/developing Web API
- Swing (basic, but not required)
- C++ knowledge (basic)
