Your new role 

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Technical Implementation Consultant with strong expertise in SAP and SAP financial add-ons. This position is highly client-facing and requires someone who can bridge the gap between tax professionals, project managers, and technical teams. You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and deploying integration solutions that connect indirect tax applications with SAP ERP, ecommerce platforms, and POS systems. The role involves guiding projects end-to-end, from gathering requirements to delivering scalable, high-quality implementations across diverse industries. 

• Act as the main liaison with client tax teams, ensuring their requirements are fully understood and addressed.
• Lead workshops to capture business and user needs, translating them into clear design and solution documentation.
• Deliver SAP integration projects that reflect a deep understanding of tax compliance processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide complete indirect tax integration solutions.
• Ensure indirect tax requirements are consistently met throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate technical and tax-related issues in a way that is accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
• Configure and install indirect tax integration software for SAP environments.
• Operate within structured project management frameworks to ensure timely and controlled delivery.
• Support pre-sales activities, including prospect engagement and bid preparation.

What you'll need to succeed 

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with SAP.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Hands-on experience with SAP SD/MM/FI modules and add-on solutions.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve conflicts caused by multiple add-ons.
• Expertise in diagnosing and resolving SAP system issues.
• Experience in process analysis, design, mapping, and re-engineering.
• Skilled in gap analysis and solution development.
• Ability to create and execute test cases and scripts.
• Proficiency in ABAP programming (mandatory).
• Familiarity with APIs, web services (SOAP & REST), and XML.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

• Experience configuring transaction taxes and related master data in SAP.
• Background in integrating third-party tax solutions (e.g., ONESOURCE Determination, Avalara, Sovos, Vertex, etc.).
• Financial industry experience or relevant degree.
• Ability to develop or adapt integration software in line with specifications.
• Experience with unit testing to validate software requirements.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• SAP certification is a plus.
• Higher education degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Computer Science.
