Your new role
As a Technical Lead Engineer (Mobile – Android), you’ll take ownership of the Android development stream within a multidisciplinary agile product team. You’ll guide the technical direction, mentor developers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality mobile applications that meet business and user expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating Android development efforts across the team
- Designing scalable, secure, and efficient mobile solutions using modern architecture patterns
- Collaborating with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Analysts, and UX Designers
- Ensuring code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices
- Driving architectural decisions and reducing technical debt
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Providing mentorship and technical guidance to team members
- Maintaining clear documentation and communication across teams
- Contributing to planning, estimation, and full lifecycle development
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for a seasoned Android expert with a passion for clean architecture and scalable solutions. You should bring:
Core Qualifications:
- 7+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in a senior or lead role
- BS or higher in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience in large-scale mobile engineering environments
Technical Expertise:
- Mastery of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Jetpack libraries
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java
- Deep understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and Android architecture components
- Experience with dependency injection (Dagger/Hilt), RxJava, and Kotlin Coroutines
- Strong grasp of RESTful APIs, JSON, and networking
- Experience with Room, SQLite, and offline data synchronization
- Knowledge of Android NDK and native code integration (C/C++)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and Git
- Understanding of Android security best practices and OWASP standards
- Experience with performance optimization and memory management
- Knowledge of Google Play Store guidelines and publishing process
